Farmwatch serve as a voice for farmed animals by investigating farms, rescuing animals and exposing cruelty.
We work to create a future where all animals are treated with the compassion and respect they deserve. Animals experience feelings very similar to our own.

An animal’s life is as important and irreplaceable to them, as ours is to us.It’s time for us to change the way we think about animals, to stop thinking of them as food and to start seeing them for who they are, not what they are.

We believe that real change is within our reach. Each of us can make decisions every day, which can save lives. We encourage people to turn their back on cruel farming industries and adopt a vegan lifestyle.

INVESTIGATE
We monitor farms, investigate complaints and tip-offs, and document animal abuse. You can help Farmwatch do this by notifying us if you have any information you think might be useful.

EXPOSE
We expose the reality of farming in New Zealand through media and by making footage and photos available as educational resources. This is to show consumers the cruelty and exploitation involved in farming, so they are able to make educated and ethical decisions.

RESCUE
We often encounter cases of abuse and neglect. Whenever possible Farmwatch will rescue animals so that a safe environment and much needed care can be provided for them.
