hens rescued from caged egg farm

Earlier this year (2013) we investigated a caged egg farm to document the conditions hens are forced to endure on a daily basis. During this visit we came across several hens in need of urgent veterinary care. We took the hens with us for treatment and have since placed them in loving homes. 

They are now enjoying the freedoms that should be afforded to all hens.These hens once had to suffer in dark cramped cages, but are now able to run, dust bathe and enjoy the afternoon sun.
