meet the animals

Ever wondered why we learned to love one animal, and eat another? If you have ever known a dog or cat, you know that animals can love, feel joy, and can also feel pain and suffering. Animals raised for food are no different.

Today, most 'farm' animals are forced to spend their lives confined in filthy, overcrowded factory farms, where they constantly suffer. Life on pastoral farms is not much better. Most people never get to see and connect with these animals and don’t know that farmed animals are just as capable, sensitive and interesting as the cats and dogs we share our homes with.

Cows are emotional animals, who form strong social bonds, and have been known to hold grudges!
Sheep are remarkably smart, quick learners, and are also very playful animals.
The best way to help us put an end to this cruelty is to choose compassion over cruelty and stop eating animals! Visit safe.org.nz for more info.
