more pig farms exposed - watch our version

Relentless Farmwatch investigations have exposed two more horrific pig farms. The footage was given to Save Animals From Exploitation (SAFE), who handed the footage to TV3. Campbell Live aired the footage on Tuesday 9 December of the cruel conditions we encountered inside the farms. Conditions so shocking and disturbing that the programme couldn’t show you all the footage they were given.
That's five horror farms this year. And despite the cruel conditions we encountered in all of these farms, they are all considered "industry standard" by the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI).
Additionally, MPI have said that footage of pigs being violently beaten and crushed to death seen in footage obtained earlier this year is not evidence of "unnecessary pain, distress or ill treatment". MPI instead intentionally stated falsehoods and attempted to shift the blame towards Farmwatch for being unable to prosecute the farm owners.
Factory farming is legalised cruelty and despite clear evidence, the very organisation responsible for the welfare of these animals have failed to take action. The only way to prevent further abuse is for us to boycott this industry.
For more information about MPI’s decision not to prosecute after previous complaints being made to them, as well as their false statements, read a blog by John Darroch from Farmwatch.
